SYSTEM SETTINGS
OVERVIEW
- The Kontinuum Configuration
file is found in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\<Kontinuum Installation
Directory>\Config.xml
- Editing the parameters in this
xml file changes the look, feel and behavior of the system and end user
applications
- This should only be done by a
certified Kontinuum designer
CONFIG
Definition
of Database connection string
§
This
is the string used by the system to connect to the webandflo
main database
§
This
must be a SQL user with administrative privileges to read from all databases
and have the ability to create databases.

The
location of the encrypted file supplied by Web and Flo that provides the
licenced use of the Kontinuum tool suite

The
sub directory within c:\inetpub\wwwroot\<Kontinuum Installation
Directory>\ where the form templates are found

There
are 6 template files:
o
TreeTop html written to end users before a tree is drawn
o
TreeBottom - html written to end users after a tree is drawn
o
MainTop - html written to end users before a page is drawn that
appears in the middle frame
o
MainBottom - html written to end users before a tree is drawn that
appears in the middle frame
o
SmallTop - html written to end users before a tree is drawn that appears
in the middle top or middle bottom frame if the middle frame is split to show
both a form and a workflow
o
SmallBottom - html written to end users before a tree appears in the
middle top or middle bottom frame, if the middle frame is split to show both a
form and a workflow

§

the WebandFloDatabaseBackup executable runs it will

ADDING
EXTERNAL COMPONENTS
- User Defined Answer Boxes
- Install the dll on the Machine
that contains the class and register the dll
- User must be
logged in with Workflow Designer permissions
- Click on the System from the Admin menu
- Click on User Defined Answer Boxes
- Click Add
- In the Answer Box type Name enter <Name of the DLL without
the dll extension>.<Name of the Class>
- User Defined Gates
- Install the dll on the machine
that contains the class and register the dll
- User must be logged in with
Workflow Designer permissions
- Click on Workflow from the
Admin menu
- Click on User Defined Gates
- Click Add
- In the Gate Type name enter <Name
of the DLL without the dll extension>.<Name of the Class>
- Adding Input Masks
- User must be logged in with
Workflow Designer permissions
- Click on System from the Admin
menu
- Click on Input Masks
- Click Add
- Definition of Input Mask Name

- Definition of Input Locations
A string of 1s and 0s where 1s indicate that input is required and
0s indicate a static character at this location.
- For example: For a date with
the format DD/MM/YYYY the Input Locations string would be 1101101111
- Static Characters Where the
0s are in the input locations what the static characters would be
- For example: A date with the
format DD/MM/YYYY the Static Character String would be 00/00/0000
- Definition of Translations
Translations is a comma separated string which moves characters in the
order
- For example: If we are
translating a date of the formation DD/MM/YYYY to store in the database
which is of the format MM/DD/YYYY then the Translations string would be
3,3,0,-3,-3,0,0,0,0,0
- Definition of Validity
Pattern A regular Expression Statement that checks what the Validate
the Mask Against

if error A text message displayed if the input does not meet the
